AGCO has used the 2026 Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa, to stage the global launch of two new Fendt products and the North American debut of a third, marking the first time the company has held a global tractor launch in the United States.

The Fendt 1100 Vario MT Gen2 track tractor and the Fendt Momentum 80-Foot Planter were unveiled globally at the show, while the Fendt 300 Vario Gen5 series made its first appearance in North America.

Together, the three launches extend Fendt’s full-line strategy, covering high-horsepower tractors, large-scale planting equipment and compact tractors in one release.

1100 Vario MT Gen2: Fendt’s Most Powerful VarioDrive Tractor

The 1100 Vario MT Gen2 becomes the top model in Fendt’s North American line-up and the most powerful tractor the company has fitted with its VarioDrive transmission.

AGCO says a reinforced transmission was needed to handle the increased horsepower, while the VarioDrive system and Fendt’s iD low-speed concept are designed to combine strong power reserves with lower fuel use.

Other updates include SmartRide suspension for rougher terrain, a steerable drawbar and three-point hitch that respond to steering input for tighter turns, and a redesigned cab built around the FendtONE operating system.

A new passive air filter system is intended to reduce maintenance in dusty field conditions. AGCO’s Gold Star Customer Care covers the tractor for three years or 3,000 hours, including scheduled maintenance and a parts guarantee.

Momentum 80-Foot Planter: Largest in the Range

Fendt’s Momentum planter line has been extended with a 32-row, 30-inch-spacing model — the 32R30 — now the largest Momentum planter AGCO has offered.

It is aimed at large-scale operations that need to cover more ground without losing planting accuracy.

The 32R30 carries 130-bushel seed hoppers and 1,000-gallon fertilizer tanks to cut refill stops, and combines Fendt’s SmartFrame chassis technology with factory-integrated Precision Planting systems and Load Logic weight management.

A new five-section, vertically contouring toolbar is designed to keep row units following ground contour across uneven or rolling fields. Coverage under Gold Star Customer Care runs three years or 16,000 acres, whichever comes first.

300 Vario Gen5 Reaches North America

The 300 Vario Gen5 series — Fendt’s compact tractor range — has now been introduced to the North American market with five models, including a new 310 Vario rated at 113–152 horsepower.

All models in the Gen5 series get DynamicPerformance, which automatically adds up to 10 horsepower when auxiliary loads such as air conditioning draw on the engine.

Every model in the series comes standard with Gold Star Customer Care and the FendtONE operating system, with guidance, ISOBUS compatibility and telemetry available as options.

The update also brings a new generation of Cargo and Cargo Profi front loaders on an upgraded hydraulic system, GroundVision lighting for night work, a redesigned hood and a new swivel seat.

Availability

The 1100 Vario MT Gen2 and 300 Vario Gen5 are open for order now, with first deliveries expected in 2027. The Momentum 80-Foot Planter opens to limited orders in fall 2026, with deliveries beginning in spring 2027.

AGCO also confirmed a 60 kph (40 mph) transport option for Fendt tractors, due in late 2026, and said the 500 Vario Gen4 and 800 Vario Gen5 were making their first appearances at the show.

The company held its first-ever international press conference at the event, at the AGCO booth on September 2.
